Pager sound · iPhone & Android
Most alerts whisper. This one rings.
Pager sound gives your verified slot alerts a loud, alarm-style tone that sounds like nothing else on your phone. When a verified slot opens at 3 AM, it's made to wake you, so you can be signed in and booking within minutes.

Test it before you need it
Hear what a real alert will sound like, on iPhone or Android.
- Turn on Pager soundOn the Alerts screen, switch on Pager sound. It's off until you do.
- Hear the toneTap Preview alert, then Play sound preview to hear it in the app.
- Send yourself a testIn the same sheet, send a test notification and lock your phone. In a minute or two it arrives with the same pager tone.
Keep your phone off silent. Pager sound plays at your phone's alert volume. It can't ring through silent mode or Do Not Disturb. Slots are shared, so no app can promise you one; you book in your own account.
Most "open slots" aren't real. Ours are verified.
The visa portal regularly shows appointment dates that appear and vanish within seconds — dates that were almost never bookable. People call them ghost slots. Every opening must pass a verification step before an alert goes out — ghost dates fail it, so they never reach your phone.
Check US visa slot availability without refreshing the portal
Refreshing usvisascheduling.com again and again rarely pays off. Most dates that flash up are ghosts, and heavy refreshing is the most common reason accounts get temporarily locked.
GetMyVisa shows each city's latest verified dates on one screen and alerts you only for the cities and visa type you choose. You open the portal only when there is something to book.
B1/B2 OFC: where verified openings happen
Between 7 Jun and 2 Oct 2026, 334 of 348 verified openings (96%) were B1/B2 OFC (biometric) dates, and about half (177 of 348) were at New Delhi. Other visa types opened rarely, so B1/B2 OFC dates are what our alerts are built for.

Questions people ask us
What are ghost slots on usvisascheduling.com?
Ghost slots are appointment dates the visa portal shows for a few seconds even though they were almost never bookable. You see a date, rush to sign in, and it's gone — or the booking step rejects it. They're common, and they're the main reason slot alerts from most sources feel unreliable. Our full explainer covers them in detail.
What are Ghost Alerts (Beta)?
An optional opt-in for power users: with Ghost Alerts on, the app can ping you about ghost and flicker activity with its own distinct pager tone, clearly labeled so it can't be mistaken for a verified alert. It's off by default, a warning dialog sets expectations when you enable it, and it auto-expires after a set window. The honest caveat: most ghost sightings can't be booked, and we don't recommend chasing them — this is transparency, not extra booking chances.
How does GetMyVisa verify a slot is real before alerting?
When new dates appear, GetMyVisa doesn't alert immediately. Every opening goes through a verification step first — and ghost dates, which vanish in seconds, fail it. Only releases that pass verification trigger a push alert, so when your phone buzzes, the dates were genuinely available at that moment.
Does GetMyVisa book the appointment for me?
No. GetMyVisa only tells you when real slots open. You book the appointment yourself, in your own account on the official portal. We never ask for your visa portal password, and we never book, hold, or trade slots. Be careful with any service that offers to book for you — that puts your account at risk.
Which visa types and cities does GetMyVisa cover?
The US Embassy in New Delhi and the consulates in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Almost all verified openings so far have been B1/B2 OFC (biometric) dates. Other visa types open rarely, so we don't promise alerts for them.
Is GetMyVisa affiliated with the US Embassy or usvisascheduling.com?
No. GetMyVisa is an independent app with no connection to the US government, any embassy or consulate, or usvisascheduling.com. We send alerts about publicly visible appointment availability — nothing more. Official information about your visa application always comes from the embassy and the official scheduling portal, not from us.
Why did I get an alert but see no slot?
Alerted slots are real, but they're shared with every applicant in India — a verified release can be fully booked within minutes. If it's gone when you look, someone got there first. That's also why one-or-two-date sightings aren't alerted by default: our data shows they're almost never still bookable by the time anyone signs in.
Will using an alert app get my visa account locked?
No. GetMyVisa never signs in to your visa account, so it doesn't add to your lockout risk. The lockouts you hear about come from people or automated tools refreshing the portal dozens of times an hour. Alerts remove that need: your phone stays quiet until a verified slot opens, so you sign in only when it matters.
